Ohh another forum to add to the list... stupid addicting sport. Anyways, been riding for a couple of years now, the first bike I ever owned myself I bought brand new in 2011 a Suzuki Vstrom 650. I knew I wanted an adventure bike but basically I got talked into the wrong bike... I rode it for quite awhile putting maybe 10000km on it in 2 years. After barely riding it all summer (2013) I decided it was time for it to go. sold it and picked up a WRR, the bike I should have bought from the get go! man I love this bike! I got one of the first 2014's that came into Canada!
Here is me with my strom;
Love the little WRR, first mod's where so I could get it out camping ASAP, so a quick shop on A Vicious Cycle (Canadian Twisted Throttle) and I had my moose racing expedition rack, fork bleeders, and skid plate.
I grew up riding friends dirt bikes and was a little nervous about the power to weight ration for doing tight twisty trails. but all in all it isn't a KTM but for a bike I can ride all day on the road or trails it is perfect! I did a 500km backroad trip a few weekends ago and other than some monkey butt I had a blast!!
even did pretty well in some nasty mud. new tires are a must though... going to run a DOT trials tire on the back.
I've already gone through a full set of levers so some bush bars are next on the hit list of mods. toying with the idea of getting some happy trails SU racks for my hard luggage I have already or getting the soft luggage set. probably gonna go with the soft as it's more forgiving when you fall.
