Has anyone fit a scottoiler v system to there wrr

im looking to buy a scottoiler v system for my wrr has anyone fitted one can it be done I'm using a x ring chain and want it to last

Haven't actually fitted one to any of my bikes but I do have a Lubeman system laying about. It is sort of like a manual version of a Scott Oiler.

I just don't care for the added complexity.

On my Strom I usually lube the chain at every or every other fill up when I am around town. If I am on a long ride I lube it at the end of every day. I've been all over the gambit on lube too. From WD40 to motorcycle chain lube to high $$ lube from Europe. At the end of the day nothing seems to work as well as cheap 80 or 90W gear lube (Marine grade if you can find it) and a little oil can.

When I am on the road I have been using lithium spray grease that you can pick up at any auto parts store.

I usually get about 25,000 miles out of my chains on the Strom. Usually it seems like the front sprocket is shot at that level of miles.

I follow the same routine on my WRR. Right now I have 4000 miles on the chain but because of the type of riding I do on that bike I don't think I will get the same life as the Strom. I recently went to a 14/48 setup from a 13/48 setup that I have been running since the bike was new. I noticed front sprocket was worn pretty good and figured I may be able to squeeze another 2000 or 3000 miles out of it. I guess the bottom line is if I can get 5000 to 8000 mile chain life I will be happy.

If you mainly ride on the street I think the chain should last longer. Sand, dust, gravel. and mud just seem to shorten up chain life.

I'm with rsteiger on this one. Carrying around an oiler full time for a job that needs to be done every 2-3 weeks is like pushing around a lawnmower just b/c the lawn will eventually need to be mowed. Oiling the chain takes less than 5 minutes, and only needs to be done every few tanks or after being washed with a hose. Save your money.

Later I removed flapper completely and connect vSystem to vacuum source of the intake.
