Hows it goin everyone. I just bought a 2008 wr250x with a few mods. Heres a pic

New X owner from Vegas Imag3611

It has Full fmf exhaust, fmf fuel programmer, Avon distanzia supermoto tires, smog delete, exup removed, flapper mod, pro taper bars with one inch risers and brush guards, drc edge tail light kit and probably a couple other things I cant remember right now. It has 3,000 miles and its very clean I paid $4400 including delivery from about 100 miles away. Is that a fair deal?

Before this bike I had a 09 klx250sf

Which I liked very much but I had to sell due to moving.
The wr250x is my replacement for the klx
So far I like the bike very much. There is one issue I came across today after my first ride. The speedo reads about 10% too high it says 50 when im going 45. Why is that? could it be because of the aftermarket tires? Is there a way to adjust the speedo to read correctly? (I read somewhere that there is some kind of setup menu you can get into on the wr's display). I would like a little more torque in the lower rpm's can i replace the 13 tooth with a 12 tooth front sprocket or will that cause more vibration? maybe if I do that itll correct the speedo issue as well, or does the smaller sprocket make it read even higher? and also the seat is a little harder compared to my klx seat. My butt starts to get sore after about 1/2 an hour of riding. Is there any options available for a more comfortable seat that aren't very expensive?

As for the seat, there are some DIY kit solutions from seat manufacturers where you use your existing seat plastic shell. That will be the cheapest way to go in my opinion.

Sprocket changes effect the speedo reading. As do changes in tire sizes.

Going smaller on front sprocket will FUBAR your speedo even more.
Going larger on rear will have same effect but less drastically per tooth.

Thank YAMAHA for such a stupid-ass speedometer arrangement.  BOOM

Best fix is the speedoDRD from 12 o'clocklabs.
