I have wanted a bike for a long time, and finally my financial stability, home situation, job situation, etc. allowed me to get one! I have been following advrider for a long time and a bit of supermotojunkie here and there, and now that I have a wr250, I plan to spend some time here too!

I managed to find a bike that fit all of my desires AND came in significantly under what I was expecting to pay. That of course means that the bike needs a bit of help in a few spots, but its nothing major.
Namely, the bike (an '02) has been jetted for use offroad, and with the baffle out of the pipe. I plan to use it for commuting, so I plan to keep the baffle in. As a result, its a little hesitant to start, especially now that it is 25 degrees outside...
Any advice on rejetting to optimize for the baffle would be great. Like I said, this is my first bike so I don't know a ton about carburetors, but Im pretty good with a wrench and ready to learn!

Thanks.

This forums for the FI WRR/WRX...
But I'll try to help anyway.

Try adjusting the fuel screw on the carb for better cold weather starting, but I think you'll find those bikes are just hard to start when its below freezing. Twisting the throttle a couple of times before hitting the starter button to prime the bike helps a lot.

Theres a ton of info for your bike on thumpertalk check that forum out thumb
