I pulled the trigger too quick on my swingarm troubles...now i have a 112 link chain but I think I'll switch to 14/51 (instead of my current 13/47) for more swingarm clearance.

How many links do I need for the 14/51?

Thanks!

A 112 would probable work but your rear axle will be near the front of the adjuster, if not the very front, I would probable buy a new chain with the 115 links and make sure your rear axle is in the middle of adjustment and cut the chain to size, cheers

Yes, set it up for midrange, but that point will depend on what tire profile you favor. I would mount  120/90 tire (new) if you have one, and set the distance using this larger, but common profile. Then cut chain to that adjustment. Then you will have room if you have to use a 110/100 or standard profile 120/80.

What swingarm troubles are you having?

If your chain is digging through the slider and into your swingarm, chances are real good you are keeping your chain far too tight.

Solution to chain length question is simple. Buy a 118 or 120 link chain and cut it to exactly what you need.
