Just picked up a 09 R for a number of reasons.

Been riding street since 1991. The R is the 3rd street legal bike in my garage. (Got a couple CRF50's as well).

It's a CA bike that I need to make sure I uncork and remove the smog garbage correctly.

It has a FMF with megabomb header and programmer. That's it.

If you have full exhaust and programmer, don't forget to open up the airbox.

He did show me the open flapper.

But in all honesty, I'm a bit overwhelmed looking at all the info.

First for me is to ensure all the CA smog junk is ditched.

And I think the air box will be part of that.

Now off to find the thread that shows how to remove all that stuff.
