bike is new just about 200 miles on her
have the forks set kind of soft.. feeling a slight resistance / sticktion when fork starts to compress... not a huge resistance but it is there, feel it on the way up as well... just not a linear feel... little shudder on the way down and up
will this go away with some more miles?

It should change.

You could loosen up the clamp on the front axle and bounce the front end a couple of times to make sure the forks are not binding. Some of the folks who get the suspension set up usually go to SKF Low Stiction seals too.

Is it possible the dealer set up the bike and over tightened the triple trees? The torque in the service manual was somewhere like 15 ft lbs. I've been warned not to overtighten them.

Dealer setup of the bike doesn't touch the triple clamp bolts but does involve installing the front wheel, so double-checking the axle clamp on the bottom of the right-hand side fork leg is worth the two minutes, as mentioned above.
Just loosen the clamp, compress the fork a few times, and tighten it up.
This is to not have the fork leg shoved to the left or right and cause binding of the sliding-through-one-another fork tubes.

Some stiction will always be there, though.

It's the fork seals. They will get a little better as they break in, but the one's that go-race installs as an upgrade get rid of the sticking. Mine did the same thing when we picked up the bike.
