So recently I moved back to school and brought my bike with me for the first time, after a few nights of storing it outside (no access to a garage) I started noticing that the tarp I would put on my motorcycle would be partially off or fully off. Thinking someone is trying to steal it I order a Gorilla Alarm 9100. When I went to install the alarm the only spot I could find that I could place it securely and without anyone being able to tamper with it is the air box. The sound is a bit muffled compared to out in the open but for me to wire it, I fed the wires down the intake above the flapper, I needed to remove the small... thing.. that pulls the flapper up for me to be able to get the wire past. My question is, will having the alarm in my air box change its performance and will having no flapper but the solenoid(?) still sitting there and able to move affect my performance? is my engine gonna blow while I'm doing 120 k/mh down some side road??
