Hey guys,
I've got a mainly stock '14 wrr and have recently begun feeling/hearing something while in 5th/6th gears, going heavier on the throttle on uphill roads (mid rpms, around 90+ kph)
It's like a low rumble/vibration that I can hear slightly, but feel more than hear, kind of comes and goes, like a droning sort of feel/sound, but more consistent while holding mid/high rpms at high speeds up hill.
I'm guessing I've been noticing it since changing the rear tire a couple months ago.

My chain is tensioned right around 11/12mm from swingarm at measure point.

Regarding the tire: It's an MX tire that is not DOT approved (a mistake I will not make again on this bike, please no lecture dddog ..the knobs are almost worn down now.

Any thoughts much appreciated!

It absolutely could be the rear tire. Knobbies can cause a lot of vibration, and it occurs at certain speeds.

Also could be the chain, but that usually happens at lower power settings, almost coasting.

I've had the same issue in the past, for me it was the chain. Try to adjust it to spec and see if you notice any change. I would notice a change after adjusting it, then I finally replaced chain and sprockets, all good since then.
