Mission Impossible type flying leap... Dukes of Hazard slide... or casual hop?  Very happy

Seriously though, you'll notice it bottom out in whoops, on ruts, and such without too much effort. You can dial it in for your weight sufficiently to get by as delivered, but are likely to consider a little suspension work if you hammer boulders, or add a heavy adv-load.
Either way you can un-box and ride it straight away, and not really object to the stock suspension more often than not, especially for casual on/off road riding.

My suspension is stock and I weigh about 220 dressed to ride, with a small pack, medium size Camel-Back, Klim suited and Gaerne Balance oiled boots. Adding 50-ish pounds of adv gear to the gross load, exploratory/journey type trail riding comfort/manageability is actually superb. Uneven surfaced roller-coaster bridges at higher speeds (65-75 mph) are a bit odd, with a lot of pogo effect. For long distance touring the few soft ride quirks are preferable to the harshness of a suspension tuned for aggressive MX/Enduro.

Taking all the gear off and hitting the trails at moderate speeds, weighing less than you I still bottom out front and rear fairly harsh. I am starting to research a moderate suspension upgrade... one that will overlap the stock settings enough to be set as soft as its current "firm setting", yet still firm up enough to handle enduro rides better than it currently does in stock form. Hope that made sense.

Actually, a 150-pound rider could bottom the suspension out on jumps (on practically any dirt bike or dual-purpose bike), so I always take that question to mean:
Will it bottom out so hard it makes my teeth rattle?

At your weight, probably.
That is, over actual jumps where you get the wheels off the ground.
To have the suspension working for your weight as well as it realistically can, you'd need springs suitable for your weight, just as with any other dirt bike.

Personally, I'd go for a rear shock revalve, too, because I know from personal experience the WR250R rear shock (in stock condition) is OK for casual off-road riding, but if you expect YZ250F suspension, think again.
The shock comes with cheaper parts and, according to suspension guys, a dose of air mixed with the fluid.
Go Race Suspension in VA. did mine, and it worked well.

Yes new race tech springs forks and shock, had a local suspension guy do it. I remember he had to special order the shock spring

The WRR is stiffer than most bikes stock, light guys always complain about the forks being stiff and never bottoming out, you will be able to ride it around just fine stock but it will work better with stiffer fork springs(just shorten the stock ones 20-25 mm and add a spacer) and a revalved rear shock with the stock spring.

Im 245 pounds, I have a race tech gold valve revaled shock with stock spring, its plenty stiff like this for small jumps and the springs shortened 25mm in the forks with a gold valve kit in them too. thumb

Im just over 200lbs and I softened mine up as it was beating this old body up in the rocks, I dont beat the bag off my bike but do a lot of off road riding, the one good thing is they do have a lot of adjustments on the suspension, and after market stuff.

230 isnt so bad, but it gets close to the egde when you add in your gear...

Im around 220 ready to ride, and have used mine on small mx tracks without bottoming out.

I'm 220lb without gear. I found the bike struggling to cope with my weight in whoops - like it was still recovering from the last whoop while I'm hitting the next one.
I had race tech re sprung and re valve and it's so much better. Ride it smoother and bike riding over rocky terrain is amazing now - befor I would get shaked about now I glide over!
It's expensive but if ride off road a lot it's totally worth it.

thanks for all answers, so maybe it won't be that bad after all.
If I were to upgrade suspension for race tech or something like that
I would rather buy ktm I guess. Generally I don't like doing big changes to my bikes.

I assume then if I won't load a lot of gear and won't be jumping too high I should be fine.
Planning to loose weight as well, like 10 lb what I have now spare.
