Stupid lift stand question

Just picked a Malcolm Smith Racing lift stand. Seems well built and engineered but I CANNOT get it high enough to lift the bike and lock in place. It has a basic foot lever and is rated to 330 pounds. I weigh 190 and even standing on the lever isn't enough. May need a friend, I guess, to lift the bike up a bit at the same time?

I'm the same. Weigh 68kg. It's the design. The lever design is all wrong. If you do get it on the stand be VERY careful releasing it. It can take fingers off or worse. I reduced the height on mine but it's still difficult.

I have the one from Harbor Freight and it works perfect! For $80, can't beat it...

I got mine at harbor freight for $20 or $30 on sale or with a 20% coupon.. I don't remember exactly,, but it works fine for me
