Any good how-to-do guide available?
Just want to change the oil, not take the whole fork legs apart as described in the service manual.

Thanks, but he gave the impression of not having a clue what he was doing.

But it seems pretty straight on.

Remove fork leg, loosen top cap, remove top cap, remove spring, dump the oil, pump as you remove the oil, poor in new oil, pump until level stays solid, put spring back in, put top cap on, push down and tighten top cap. Is that about it?

First time fiddling with an USD fork.

Once bothering to properly read the Yamaha service manual, its pretty well described.
Also illustrated in this rebuild video series:

I set the oil level by measuring down form the top of the fork with it bottomed out and the spring out like the guy in the vid, measuring how much you pour in doesn't seam that accurate to me because you might not get it drained perfectly.
I run 120mm from the top but I have stiff springs.
If your light run 120 mm from the top, if you like to jump a lot run it 100 mm from the top, if your kinda in between run 110mm with otherwise stock forks. thumb

I'm lighter than the stock suspension is built for, stock springs. Service manual says 105 mm level. The forks do feel a bit stiff, but I haven't even set preload/rebound since i got the bike (only ridden it twice since).

Oil level from factory was off a bit, adding to the stiff feeling.

Changing fork oil and doing an overall check was fairly easy. Will be no issue changing fork seals on this baby in the future. Thanks KYB for the simple construction.

Work shop manual and MrDuhfactors Youtube tutorial gave a good overview.
