I just bought myself a sweet WR250X Very happy and it came without the rubber strap which holds the tool kit in place. I tried through Yamaha dealer but they were not able to find that strap as a part. Does anybody know the part # for it? or direct me to where and how I can get just the rubber strap please?

Is your dealer's parts guy trying?

It's in the Yamaha parts catalogue and the diagram called FRAME.
You can see this exploded diagram on any on-line website that sells Yamaha motorcycle parts.

Yeah... exactly.

Might be worth it to take that number to the Stealer and say "Here's the part number you can't find for the strap".

Cost should be low enough it won't make much difference between that and buying online.

On the other hand, I gave up on even wandering into the closest Stealer.  You leave there feeling like your IQ has been dropped by ten points just by walking in the door.

The dealer a bit further away, on the other hand, is a real, valuable, dealer.  Him, I do give some of my business to.

What they said ^^^

I find it easiest to go through the parts diagrams online, find the exact part number, and just go to the dealer and ask them order it for me. It's quicker. It shouldn't be, but it often is.

I use Partzilla.

You need a tetanus shot before walking into any of the dealers near me.

I had to get one for mine one time. Turns out that it is the same strap that holds the battery in place.

Thanks!
That helped.
The guys are the dealership are pretty great but for some reason they had a tough time with this one.
Just ordered the strap.

Cheers!
