hey all just bought a 2016 wr250r. i also have a suzuki gsxr600 from which i have a case of leftover motul 300v. its 10w40 which the manual recommends but i think its for wet clutches. i wanna use it since i have it. can anyone leave some input. thank u dutch

That Motul Suzuki oil will destroy the Yamaha motor. The WRR is so finely tuned that only the best oil can be used in it.

Nah.. you'll be fine - read your owners manual, all of the answers are there.

Then again what do I know, I use diesel motor oil in mine. wings

The wrr has a wet clutch, it should work. A case will last a l o n g time!

But petroleum oil is all you need.

Your yam has a wet clutch...add the motul it will be fine

I have a new 2016 too. That Motul is a great oil for breaking in your motor. That's what I I used at my 500 mile oil change. At 1000 miles shifting got a little notchy so I changed oil at 1100 miles again. Oil was black. Went with Redline 10w40 synthetic since motor was broken in and safe to switch to synthetic now. I almost went with Amsoil but heard reports of clutch slippage. Shifting is much smoother now and I don't intend on changing oil for another 3k now, as recommended, unless shifting gets notchy again. I recommend you do the same.
