I'm running Zeta barkbusters and the XC flashers. They look really sharp on the bike and it's nice not to get your hands ripped off by flying branches. thumb

+1 on the Zeta's with the built-in flashers. I couldn't wait to get rid of the stock front flashers, they bounced around too much and just looked sloppy.

To confirm, we have the 7/8" bars, and the Zeta guards will require no modification (outside of the end plug through the grip)?

Thanks,

JAH

I didn't have to modify squat. Bolts right up no problem. thumb

Acerbis Rally Pro (Cycle gear has them for $55, with FREE mounting kit!!)

Clutch side had plenty of room, but had to chew most the ball off of the brake lever to keep it from binding (I liked the levers where they were and didn't want to slide the whole works in). When I install guards, I chew off enough throttle sleeve to ensure that it won't ever extend beyond the bar end. Then, I put my hand guards on as tightly/in close to the bar end as possible, even smack it with a sledge a few times to drive it in.

Figure this is better than whacking it really good deep in the woods and ending up w/ a bound throttle or brake

+1 on the Acerbis Rally Pro's. Great guards. I took a nice spill trying to hop a log and landed hard on the right side. Right guard smashed into the earth. Picked the bike up, popped out the tool kit, straightened the guard back up, ready to ride, no damage to grips, switches, levers, etc. Excellent quality.

Can you post a link to the Acerbis Rally Pro at cycle gear? I cannot seem to find them on their site. Much obliged...

The Acerbis Rally Pros don't show up on the website for some reason; I just happened to be in there and saw a nice set of blue guards, and the mounting brackets just happened to be on special (free!) right above 'em..

Was gonna get the Emgos before I stumbled on this deal, I have them on another bike and have been pleased with them - basically the same set-up: http://www.denniskirk.com/jsp/tpl/product.jsp?store=Main&catId=115&leafCatId=11506&skuId=614671&productId=p614037&mmyId=

Anybody ever used the Moose Racing guards and protector? If so what are your thoughts on these?

I had them on my DR350 and they worked very well. Rock solid ... and I tested them on trees and the ground many times :-)

Ran across these handguards today. I like the fold out mirror option. Rather cool idea.

I was wondering about two things.

Do the zeta guards work with both 7/8 and 1 1/8 bars?

Do the stock controls mount up to 1 1/8 bars without any problems or modifications?

Yes, Zetas work with both size bars, you just need to specify which type you have so you get the right mounts. As for the 1 1/8 bars, yes all the stock controls bolt right on. The bars are only 1 1/8 in the middle then taper down to 7/8 where the controls mount.

Zeta Armors with 1 1/8 Pro Taper bars...

It's a Rizoma Logic mirror. I just checked the site where I bought it and they don't list it anymore, so not sure if they make it anymore or they just don't sell it. Here is where I got it... http://www.pjsparts.com/catalog/index.php?cPath=265&osCsid=3b4af6914d47d091f5323c755847f236

Just found the forum and wondering if there's any advice on best handguards for weather protection? Moose look big but it seems like they have vents in them.

I'm running the Zeta's, I like them. They buff pretty good from wind and cold in winter riding. thumb Hand Guards Img_0925

Ive got a set Acerbis multiplo E handguards. I think they are some of the best on the market although a bit expensive. No too hard to mount.
