Who makes the best heated grips that you would recommend for this bike?

Depends on what you want. There are the warmers that you put under normal grips, and they make grips with integrated heat.

I use these, cheap and effective: https://www.rockymountainatvmc.com/p/998/23097/Tusk-Grip-Heater-Kit

They have two settings. Barely warm, and melt-your-gloves hot.

I also use some mitts when the temps are in the 30s or below. Creates a little oven inside that keeps my fingers warm.

I like oxford grips. The ones that go under the grips have not lasted for me.

I got a set of the $20 Tusk heated grips. Where is a good place to connect for key on power?

I wired up a relay that is triggered off the running lights (blue wire going to turn signal). That circuit closes the relay when the key is turned on, then a wire directly from the battery goes through the relay and powers the heaters (fused, of course).

You might get away with wiring directly to the running lights, but I didn't want to be blowing fuses with too much current draw on that circuit. You want to make sure the wire gauge is large enough, otherwise it will create more resistance and you won't get as much heat.

I just installed these on my cbr600 and like them very much.  I chose them primarily because the controller is integrated into the grip.

A word of warning, they take 20-30 minutes to warm up to full temperature.  They put out heat right away but won't be crazy warm for a bit.

A friend installed the Oxfords at the same time I installed the Kosos and he reports they work well.  I don't think you can go wrong with either.

I decided to not trust the auto shutoff feature and wired in a relay so i can't speak to the auto-off.

Another consideration is Oxford sells all the parts of their grips separately should you need to replace an individual grip for instance. I don't believe Koso does this.

Oxford premiums get my vote. Recently installed a set on my S10 & am very happy with their performance thumb
