I didn't want to bother you folks again so I searched the shop manual, owners manual and the internet but couldn't find what I was looking for. I just want to know if my lights are working properly. The front turn signal are on solid - all the time, like marker lights in a car, but the rears are not at all unless the directionals are in use. All lights and directionals are working fine but I thought it was strange that the front blinker lights are on solid all the time but the rears are not. If I use a directional, the opposite front signal light goes off so the directional can be seen better. So the front yellow lights are always on, unless a directional is being used in which case the opposite side is off. The rear signals only come on at all when being used to signal a turn. Does this sound right? Thanks.

That's correct. Same on my bike.

Normal for most street bikes for conspicuity (to make it easier to see the bike coming down the road).

Thank you. Thats what I figured but I was surprised the front directional act as marker lights but the rears do not. My only guess for the inconsistency would be they want the rear brake light to be as noticeable as possible. Maybe with the rear marker lights on it wouldn't be as prounounced but with the rear end dark (aside from the tail light and license plate light, it stands out more when the brake light comes on..
