My question concerns Yamaha P/N 92012-05016, Bolt, Button Head. This is the screw that holds the fuel pump assembly in the tank. There are six of them. What I remember from the last time I replaced the fuel pump (which may not be correct) is that these fasteners were button head Torx screws. In fact, I also remember stripping one because I apparently didn't have my reading glasses on, and mistook them for hex socket heads. I'm going to carry a spare fuel pump on a road trip, and want to make sure I have the needed tools to change it. I ordered a few new screws so I could replace the damaged one next time I have it apart, but these new screws are socket head, and take a 3mm hex key. Was there a change in these fasteners? My bike is a 2011.

Mine is a 2008, and the screws are 3mm hex, not torx.

Just as a backup - mine are allen key screws too. 2012 bike.

Thanks. I could have sworn that mine were Torx, but it wouldn't be the first time I remembered something wrong.
