hi there

i decided to replace my clutch to some preformance kit because i want to change oil and oil filter and on the way to replace my clutch to a better one..
im racing sometimes in the track (onec a month)
im wheelies and stunting every weeked (sometimes in the middle of the week when im free)
and make alote of street rinding during the days (work and shit)
so heres guys, my needs. and im asking you, whitch clutch kit should i get? just for you known, me and freind of mian (whos a mechanic btw) take a look at the plates and they were more then half a way to die with less then 9k km!(2016 model) thats insane...

ive seen the Ebc drc's but i dont know about them anything but "they are the best man go get it"
ive seen the carbon fiber of Barnett around here and someone said thats for guys who race and will change oil more oftenly
and im not going to buy the OEM because i lost faith in them..

anyhelp will be halpful and if some of you can just strength my knowledge it will be great either
thanks!!

I believe that if you are:

im racing sometimes in the track (onec a month)

and

im wheelies and stunting every weeked

It will not surprise me if you need to replace clutch plates at your mileage.
In fact, I think you are getting reasonable mileage under that usage.

Myself, I've tried aftermarket clutch kits in the past and wind-up going back to the stock clutch parts because they seem to work and feel better and last just as long.

It sounds like you're hard on clutches like I am.

I don't race or stunt but have worn out two clutches riding off road, presumably from too much clutch feathering (I feather the clutch a lot).  My 3rd clutch is doing ok since I've made an effort to change my clutch habits.  I've heard from multiple sources and through some light research that oem clutches are hard to beat.  Clutches are wear items, if you do something to wear them you'll need to replace them periodically I'm not convinced a better clutch will wear less.

Also if you have 1/2 the wear on your clutch why not use it until its worn out and then replace it?  It takes me just an hour or two to replace a clutch on the WR.

One can fry brand new clutch plates in five minutes with proper abuse. Given the use that you describe (racing and stunting), 9k sounds not just reasonable, but downright impressive.

What kind of mileage do you get from clutch plates on other bikes?

I work for a powersports distributor and asked one of the parts guys about this. The EBC kit for the WR is considered an OEM replacement. It's a good, high quality kit, made to OEM specs. I'd check the OEM and the EBC and get the one that's more available and affordable.

idk how much exactly but more than 15k km i guess.. and pay attention, im talking about km not miles, thats how im counting in my country.
9 or 10k miles for stock plates that been used aggressive.. i thinks. , sound more logical than 9k km. doesnt it shows how low quality they are?. dunno
anyway im about to buy the ebc complete kit DRC39 from amazon.. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000WJ6YHM/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?smid=A3TGC5XRRCX4P2&psc=1
what do you think about this kit? worth it? it wont die after 5 minutes? wink
and also think about spark plug.. NGK? E3? Autolite? have no idea

NGK and Autolite both make euqally good standard plugs.  For a couple bucks more, you can get the Autolite iridium plug upgrade. Here's the part number for it.

Part number:  4-XS4302
AUTOLITE SPARK PLUG XS4302/4 IRIDIUM XTREME SPORT
Vendor Part #: XS4302
UPC: 009100261908

Here's the 2 kits that are solid choices:

1) The one you picked on Amazon- EBC DRC39

2) and this one...

19-23007CK
PROX COMPLETE CLUTCH PLATE SET

Mileage is dependant on how you run the bike, but I hear good things about both of these brands.  Check their websites and or YouTube vids...

Quality has nothing to do with the failure, it all depends on the (ab)use. I have fried a clutch in under 5 minutes trying to get a good launch in a 1/4 mile test.

If you race or stunt you need to accept the fact that clutch plates are just consumables that you have to replace often.

Agreed, have seen people frying clutches in deep sand/mud, without moving more than 10 meters.
I would for sure change the oil after such abuse.
