PostSubject: Disabling the steering lock?   Mon Dec 11, 2017 1:32 am

Hi, as I posted in the general discussion my WRR got stolen and recovered, it is in my possession at the moment but the thief ground out my ignition switch. It got stolen with the steering lock on and is still on even without the ignition switch, so how do I disable the lock so I can move it around my shop easier? I tried pulling on the handlebars really hard with the intentions of breaking it but it is a lot stronger than I thought and feared I might break something else. Any ideas here guys?

Sounds like the actual lock is still bolted in place.
This bolts to the top triple clamp with "tamper-proof" bolts.
You'll have to remove your headlight and speedometer to access it.

Thanks, YZEtc!
and the steering lock you need to place the handlebars all the way steering left and twist the key as far as you can left, might have to push down too, I don't quite remember
