Hey guys I'm looking to change the gearing on my WR, the only reason that im considering using the 14t front sprocket is to prevent swing arm wear. I would also like to note that I plan on installing a sandman case saver kit and am well aware that it will be a tight fit but will it cause any damage with the 14T sprocket? Also, I mainly ride on the road but do consistently take it onto the trails.

I am not clear on your question. It is entirely different gearing ratio.
48/13= 3.69, 47/14= 3.35 Stock gearing is 43/13 =3.3

As you can see 47/14 is like stock gearing. Very good overall for 50/50 riding.

Sorry for the confusion im just new to all of this stuff, could you recommend a gearing setup for 70% on road 30% offroad? if thats even a thing...

Stock gearing on the WRR is ludicrously tall for anything but straight road riding.  If memory serves 13/48 is the gold standard for dual sport gearing and will likely work well for you.  12/48 is more dirt focused and probably won't work as well on the road.  I would encourage reading through a few gearing threads to see what others are doing.

Front sprockets in particular are inexpensive and easy to swap so pick up a 12 as well and see if you like it.

There is a fear generally that 12 tooth sprockets eat the swingarm protector which is a known weak spot on the WR so keep an eye on that regardless of what gearing you choose.  Also keep your chain adjusted on the loose side: I can attest the with a loose chain 13/48 is easy on the swingarm protector.

I run 13/48 which works well for me on the road and on the trail. If I wanted to run a 14 tooth front sprocket then I would go with a 51 tooth rear to hold close to the same ratio.

A buddy of mine runs 13/47 and likes that (really not much difference from what I run).

The 14/51 combo actually seems to split the difference between the two.
