Engine dying at low rev after cold start

I have about 25K miles on my 2018 WR. Lately I noticed that right after starting (at low revs) the engine sputters a little when revving. When I first let out the clutch, I feels like I need to give it more gas than usual to avoid stalling out. Once it warms up, it seems fine. I've never cleaned the fuel injection system or (really) any other fuel related parts.

Any ideas?

I presume it has been doing this consistently? Did it start overnight, or has it been a gradual deterioration?

I would go for a valve check; mine needed adjustments at 23k.

Ya, it's been pretty consistent. it was a gradual problem. It starts no problem, but again, seems a little "off". I feel like I need to give it more gas at red lights.

Valves needing adjustment would be my best guess given the conditions you described.
