PC5 works/runs on 2008 WR250R/X!!!

I just got done running around on whether i wanted to go with a offset fuel programmer like the FMF or Attitude. Or go with a PC3 or PC5 programmer.
But after weeks/months of reading and reading and reading some more. I had made my mine that the FMF or Attitude had my pick...Untill i talk to some local motorcycle mechanics...and the sayed that the would never go with anything other then a Power Commander and sayed the PC5 is The BEST is the business. And there is no end on programming/adjusting on them.
But from all that i read up about the PC5 only works(was made for) 2009 models and up...i mean i read some thread/post with guys running them but that wasnt anuf for me to go out and take a $300 chance on it.
So the PC3 was my only choice...well as far as the power commander wise.
So i ended up finding one of the cheapest/reliable place online that had them for sale for like $259(for the PC3 that is)
I called them up and just was asking quetions about it....and then the PC5 came up. And i was asking the guy i talked to Keth if he had any experience with the PC5/PC3 on the WR250R/X's and he did...so then i was asking him why the PC5 will(was made only for 2009 and up) only work on 2009 and up...and he explained to me that the PC5 with full work/run on a 2008 because the ecu and everything else computer/fuel related wise was the same as the 2009 module(witch thats what i thought to just didnt know for sure) And DinoJet(the creater/maker of Power Commanders) when they were makeing the PC5 decided to only design them for 2009 modules or bike/atv/ext...cause they didnt want to go through all the work of retro fitting(i thinks the right work to use) all the later modules and years. So...with all that being sayed i was jumping for joy. After i got of the phone with Keth(it was a good 30 min phone call) i was thinking about if/when i wanted to order the PC5 and where. And Fuel Moto (www.fuelmotousa.com) was my choise....because by this time i allready new there custermer/tech support was way beyond excellent(from my call) and they all so Double factory Power Commander warranty so instead of 1 year you get 2 years if you buy one from Fuel Moto. I called Fuel Moto up again there a 1/2 hour later and got keth again and placed my PC5 order with a preloaded map of my choice. And will be getting here in 2-3 days.
So all of you guys on the fence like i was for a wail there...HERE YOU GO. If you were considering a Power Commander but wanted the PC5 and you didnt/dont know if it runs flawless on the 2008.(same as it would on the 2009) And not to mention the Auto Tune is out for the PC5.

Thanks for sharing. Once the PC is installed, please share your impressions. I am diving into this end of the pool soon (part of my Winter mod session). So the more info I can get the better.

What price did they give you?

King Wolf if you dont like the pre-loaded map, I have the rustyg61 pcIII map that has been converted to a PC V map. I have been running it on my 2010 X since I installed the PC V and have been pleased with the response and performance so far. I may make an attempt to find a local dyno sometime in the next few months and see if we can come up with a better map for my mods.

And yeah no prob just shareing all the information i got with all my fellow WRR/X riders. haha its the least i can do from all the information i got from here/you guys

I payed $290 shipped with a 2 year warrenty on it. From Fuel Moto (www.FuelMotousa.com) It was the best place/price i could find. And the extra year warrenty wasnt bad ether(only $90 more then a FMF/Attitude programmer)

Yeah that would be GREAT if you could send/get me that rustyg61 map.
Yeah i had them pre-load the
(M22-016-006
Leo Vince X3 exhaust, spark arrestor removed, Stock air filter, Air box lid removed, MAP)
But i would like to try some other maps out. You dont have any other maps by any chance do you ?
What all mods do you have on your X? and yeah if and when you get it to the dyno let me know your resolutes.

PM sent... Yeah lord willing my PCV will be here tomorrow and its suppost to be 60 tomorrow so it would be a GREAT day to try it out to...before we get are cold weather again.
