HELP..I just ordered my FMF powerbomb header/ Q4 slip on/ FMF fuel programmer/ asi removal kit/ K+N air filter/ sprockets (13t-47t) /chain/ I went to the shop that I've been going to for the past 7 years and there was a sign on the door that said OUT OF BUSINESS. the owner told me a few weeks ago that he was moving to Colorado (who could blame him), but I didn't realize that he was closing his doors so soon. Could anyone out there recomend a shop that will treat me fair and not try to rip me off? The local yamaha dealership does not have a good reputation of treating their customers good. I would prefer a small shop vs. a dealership but any ideas are welcome.............YZtech.which dealership do you work for? would you recomend them??? Is the FMF fuel progammer hard to install? do I have to splice into wires or is plug and play ? any info would be a big help, thanx .jason

You ordered the stuff already? I hope you didn't PAI...crap, that sucks Jay. That power programmer is plug n play, real easy to install, no wire splicing. Damn, I hope you have better luck with the next shop, that's brutal.

If you were near me I would do it for you for beer.

The programmer isn't that bad to install.
You will have to take the seat, side covers, and front shroud plastic off.
You will have to loosen the tank to allow you to get to the clip underneath it.
unplug the clip under the tank and plug the programmer into each side of the plug you disconnected.

decide where you want to mount the programmer ( most choose under the seat or up near the headlight ).
the programmer also has to be connected to the battery.

There are DIY threads for doing all of these if you want to give it a shot.
The hardest thing if you have never done it would be to cut the chain to length if you didn't get the exact number of links needed.
