What is the proper way to adjust the WRR headlamp beam height?
I used the automobile method of 25ft away from a vertical wall while parked on level ground. With the wall marked with the vehicles headlamp center (measured from ground up to headlamp center) marked on the wall.
I adjusted it a bit tonight and tested it but will know more tomorrow morning how effective it was.
While this may be better than what I already have I would like to know the specific adjustment suggested by Yamaha in the service manual as the owners manual does not say crap.

So, whats the word on the headlight adjustment? I lowered my WR'R, and it now lights up the tree tops at night. I need to aim them back down on the road. I have a 10 mile strecth of ride thru the dark county side on my way home from work at night. The manual states to take it to the dealer for the adjustment, which I'd like to avoid.

Thanks,
TH

There is an adjustment screw on the bottom of the headlight shroud where the light fits into it. If you want the service manual as to how to adjust it, I've posted a link as a sticky in this forum. Headlamp Adjustment 61865

Thanks SheWolf, I downloaded the Service Manual. Sounds easy enough. I wonder why they didn't state that in the owner's manual.

Wow, I forgot I started this post. After SheWolf sent me the info I adjusted mine right away. Thanks again fo the PM!!
I now ride with my high beam on all the time-day and night. When I adjusted it I did it at midnight so it was plenty dark on an unlit 4 lane road. I ride this same road to work and know it well. I rode to a long, flat, level section and stopped. Reaching foward over the bars to the headlamp with a phillips head screwdriver I started turning the screws and rode this stretch of road back and forth over and over. I got it where I like it and wont outride its reach. I flip to the low beam on the back bumper of cars at intersections. Other than interstate and major state roads the roads around here are not painted with the reflective material. Especially where my plant is located in a remote area. The center lines are painted but not the road edge lines. When it rains it really sucks. Like I said, I ride with the hi-beam on all the time.
Now I am looking for lighting upgrades as I am now riding more and more at night.
