| Has anyone had problems with fuel delivery once the fuel level is low enough that you are relying on the secondary lift pump? |

I ran mine really low this past Saturday. I opened the tank and the pump was no longer submerged in gas and the bike was still running. That being said, I'm not sure how much farther I could have gone. That secondary pump splashes gas all over the place inside the tank. I do wonder how effective that is as most seems to splash away from the pump itself. Is it possible that the vacuum pump is to powerful? I'm not exactly sure since this is my first after market tank with a secondary vacuum pump. |

I DON'T have a problem.
But i was wondering the same thing. How do you know the secondary pump is working (before its to late). I ended up just putting one gallon in the first time and when i turned the key i heard two pumps with stock pump running dry and then the change in tone to its' normal tone of pumping fuel. Hit the starter and it started right up. Drove around for 10 minutes and then headed to a gas station to fill it up. OK so far. |

| We had some issues with fuel supply Friday night, and when we topped off the tank it went away. It may have been a kink in the vacuum line that runs the pump but we wont know for sure until the fuel level goes down. |

| I am confused. I thought the vacume pump would not see any vacume till the engine was running??? |

Yeh, thought about that as soon as i hit the send key to post and been wiating all day for somebody to say something. I must just have heard the different sounds of a dry and then primed stock pump. Sounded very different because its usually submerged in fuel.
So how did the fuel get to the stock pump? Did i just get lucky and get some fuel in the bowl when i dumped in my one gallon?
What happens if you try to start the bike and that stock fuel pump bowl is dry but you still have fuel lower in the wings for the secondary pump but it can't pull the fuel up because the bike isn't running yet? It would be nice to be able to trouble shoot this on a ride if i have a problem.
Thanks, Bruce |

I have wondered that very thing. Could be that reserve is fine if when you run low you are moving. But may not want to kill the engine or take a spill.

| I think there should still be enough fuel in the lines and the injection system to get the engine running until the vacuum pump kicks in.
I have been offline for a few days and out of touch, Alex had a 104 fever and I couldn't get to the shop.
Bsheet2 your tank was indeed in the last batch shipped out, did you get it yet? |

| Thanks Rabbit. I received my tank. Will try to put her on this weekend.
Thinking a bit more. Even if you kill the engine when vacume pump is needed, there still should be fuel in that depression area where the main pump is??? As long as you don't take a dirt nap, it may be ok. |

| Now that everyone has all their tanks installed are there anymore good pictures? I am interested in getting a black one and haven't seen any good pictures yet. Any black tanks installed with any graphic kit would be great! My wishlist is now; 4.7 gallon IMS tank in black Lynx fairing in black Luggage rack Shinko 244's Get rid of handlebar vibration. Go on a long ADV ride! |

| That one does look nice. I think I will have to get one and see how it looks with a graphics kit on. I am still debating between the 3.1 and the 4.7 though......
Thanks |
