The Hancock ride on Apr 18-19 would be the "Bobby Evans Memorial - Good Kuggamugga Trail Ride" Hosted by the Bear Creek Sportsmen
http://www.bearcreeksportsmen.com/

From their flyer:

"Come celebrate spring with the bear creek sportsmen. A full weekend of riding and family fun. Saturday at 12:00 there will be a kids ride and race. Trail loop is open both days. Loop is 30+ miles at its longest and consists of trail being built for our upcoming National Enduro. The ride will be arrowed differently for Novice, Amateur and Expert riders. Basically short cutting the course. There will also be a kids/mini track ribboned close to the parking area for young and beginner riders.

Requirements: AmA membership required. Singup available at the event. Full riding gear, safe riding habits and a quiet motorcycle. $35.00 single day, $60.00 both days. Kids 12 and under free. Chef Leroy will be cooking food both days."

I might be there. That's the same weekend as Stump Jumper enduro so I'll probably do one of the two. This Hancock ride looks more relaxing obviously.

PostSubject: North Western PA meet up?   Northeast EmptyWed Apr 15, 2009 1:32 pm

So I see 222 registered users now. How many are close enough and/or interested in having a weekend ride in the Allegheny National Forest area (north western PA)?

It's great riding!

thumb I was thinking the same thing when I asked the mods to create some regional folders. I've attended and been involved with organizing several bike-specific forum get-togethers - always a blast to meet folks, compare modifications, ride some killer trails and then swap lies while tossing back some cold ones at the end of the day.

FWIW I teach and have summers off, which I spend in Clarion PA.

In addition to informal get-togethers, if we think we can pull off an "R2 Eastern Ride '09" er whatever, I'd be glad to help out!

BPG, when are you back in the area?

I'm out for most of July. June or August are most likely.

I'm back mid-June. I'm hosting another event in Cook Forest in mid-July but it's already over-booked (we rent a big cabin up the Clarion River every year - fill it w/ food and drink and have a grand ol' time! wink ).

I'd love to do a similar R2-specific event in late July/early August, so your dates would work fine.

In the meantime, I'd obviously want to meet up and do lots of aimless wandering around in the ANF and on the surrounding trails, er, I mean complete lots of "recon" and "research" missions in the area... Very happy

If anyone is interested in making a ride to the Adirondacks let me know. I'll be heading to Oswegatchie in a few weeks (don't know exactly when yet).

The bill to cover some changes died. If you ride off road in Ma you will need a off road sticker, even if you have a street tag.

Hello everyone, I just moved to New London CT. I'm new to the WRR and as such, this forum. It's a great bike! So far I've had it up in ME/NH but am looking forward to finding some good CT spots with anyone in the area who's interested.

Ride smart,

Shawn
