This could be a fun thread to see what everyone is doing to their bikes.

So lets have it. Show off those farkles and mods or just the maintenace you did. This thread could go on forever.......

I will start it off.

1. Dropped the linkage attaching to bottom of the rear shock. Swapped the OEM knuckle that screws onto the bottom of the shock back on there. The PO had lowered the bike with an aftermarket knuckle. This puts it back to stock height with 1 inch lowered.
   
2. While I had the linkage off, moved rear tire through its complete range to see how the chain tension is. This also gives me a good feel for how to tighten the chain relative to picking it up toward lowere swing arm.
   
3. Mounted my GPS RAM mount to handle bar.
   
4. Installed GPS power cord from battery to GPS location.
   
5. Andjusted compression and rebound on front and rear with settings I found in this forum.
   
6. Cleaned and oiled air filter.
   
7. Clened and lubbed chain. Adjusted chain tension
   

Ready for maiden voyage into the woods! Nothing exotic or exciting, except setting up my new to me WRR.

Way too cold to ride today, so I worked on my AIS and air box Mods. Also completed installation of new chain and sprockets. I went with 13/47 with 112 links. I can not wait until the first decent day to try it out.

Removed the battery and put her into storage.

Took the slack out of my throttle. Need to do a test ride to see if it helps the low throttle jerks.

Pulled the spark plug to check it out. It looked fine. But it had very little torque on it when I took it out! I wonder if I was loosing some compression? Glad I cheded it.

Man that spark plug is way down in there! Had to put a small piece of tape on one side of my socket so it would grip the the plug to pull it out.

I checked use of the spark plug wrenck from the OEM tool kit. I can't see how in heck you can get a spark plug out with that thing! HAs anyone done it successfuly?? If so, was there a trick to it??

So far I've:
Replaced all the plastics with black ones.
Installed a larger rear sprocket and new chain.
Installed a rear luggage rack (Yamaha luggage on back order).
Installed electric vest hookup.
Installed Acerbis Bark Busters.
Lowered the font and rear suspension.
GPS mount with Delorme PN-60w and SPOT device.
Put Michelin AC10 tires on with UHD tubes.
Had the rims powdercoated black.
Installed larger IMS 3 gallon tank.
Installed Corbin seat.

That was all in the first few weeks of owning the thing, and that'll do for this year at least...

1. Rode her to work again today

Put on a soft tail bag that I had.

Took her for a test ride. 60 miles, 0.964 gallons of gas, 62.4 mpg. I guess that is just ok for these bikes.

Is that the flatland skid plate? How is it?

Was not very nice in South Lake today, have about a inch in the rain gage so far to day !!

Tried to cover her with an old tarp to keep the rain off. But it blew off. Guess I need a cycle cover.

Can't roll the bike until I bolt the rear shock back on, but I did this:

...for a whompin'-sized one. :)

Took her to the forest. Some nice single track!

Moved it in with my other WR.
