EVAP Canister / hoses Empty
PostSubject: EVAP Canister / hoses   EVAP Canister / hoses EmptyTue Oct 23, 2018 8:56 pm

I am a new owner of a 2015 WRR. When I went to install a skid plate tonight, I was surprised to see the California-only EVAP canister where the skid plate was to be installed. After some searching, it looks like removing it isn't a big deal. I found instructions at https://thumpertalk.com/forums/topic/746961-ca-model-charcoal-canister-removal-wr250r/. But my question is this: why all the cutting of hoses in the instructions? Can't I simply remove the canister and leave the hoses where they are, down by the skid plate? I could plug the hose that goes to the throttle body, and leave the other hose open for the vent, and simply let them hang near the bottom of the bike behind the skid plate, no?
Any help is much appreciated. Thanks.
