R1 rotors Empty

There was a rumor going around that R1 rotors also fit our hubs. I was pretty curious as it would be a cheap source for an extra rotor.. just tried to bolt my 2009 R1 rotor onto the wrx hub, and it's a no-go, bolt spacing is not even close.

If there's any truth to this, it's probably having to do with the first model years of the YZF-R1 which had 298mm rotors like the WR-250X.
Like I say, it's a big IF because I haven't tried it, either.

1998-2003 R1 and 1999-2002 R6 rotors are a direct replacement as far as hub spacing and bolt pattern.

I'm using an EBC race lite from my old R6 racebike, with no issues.
