does anyone use 90 octane in there bikes?

up here in alaska we only have 90 octane and the bike says minimum of atleast 91 octane so my question is will this hurt my bike? should i use octane booster? and who else runs 90 octane?

youll be fine, i put 85 in mine all the time with no problems.

how long have you been running 85 and does it feel sluggish and how many miles are on your bike?

I run 94, but have run 87 in it quite a few times. Didn't bother or affect the bike.

damn 94 i bet thats nice you need to do my ultimate engine build lol (turbo,bbkit,low compression piston.)

When regular gas spiked over $4.00 per gallon here, and 91 octane went well past $4.50 a gallon I decided I'd run 89 (mid-grade) and see what happened.

NOTHING different and nothing changed.

As we all know: 0ctane does not equal horsepower

No pinging, no detonation, nothing. Runs exactly the same as when I used 91.

I would never question using 89 octane.

I am not in an area where extreme temperatures or altitudes are common.

My stock tank says: use PREMIUM unleaded gasoline with min 95 octane, do the American bikes have something different?

I try use only 98, I've used 95 I get less mileage and no bike of mine is getting any ethanol % fuel

Octane ratings are different in different countries.

i went on a really long ride me and my wife and had to put 85 in it today and it seemed fine but on the whole way back we got rained on freezing rain for 1 hr it sucked so freaking bad
