So here's a weird idea the I wouldn't mind some feed back on. Lot of things going on right now and moneys tight but my rear stock tire on my x is getting very close to needing replacement. The front however looks brand new !! I was going to replace these tires with Distanzias. Could I just put on an Avon rear? All my riding is highway right now.

Yes. You don't need to put on two matching tires at the same time. Or two matching tires at all for that matter.

If all your riding is highway why would you want a Distanzia?

Matching tire profiles are preferable.

But there's no law about it obviously.

If your plan is to get a Distanzia for the front later on down the road then go for it.

Yah Motokid. I'm riding the road now but not my choice. Hopefully this Fall I'll get an offroad trip in and intend to put a Distanzia in front. I just didn't know if the two tires would perform different enough on the road to be a problem. I didn't think they would, since I'm a class B or C or D hooligan. Maybe C+.

You'll have comfort and confidence in the front. That's important.

I don't think the Distanzia in the rear will trow things off much. It's still primarily a street oriented tire.

I think you'll be fine.

I can't afford the UPS man either... That's why I've got Fedex bringing my new brain bucket.

Depending on where you buy, and where it's shipped to - UPS shipping can be free. thumb
