Distanzia 150/70HR17 tire pressure

Have a new Distanzia 150/70 17 arriving tomorrow and was trying to figure out what pressure to use. I weigh 230 lbs and have been running 33psi in the stock x rear tire. I figured the Distanzia should be about the same for the road and maybe 25 off road. Any suggestions are appreciated.

Tire pressure should go up 10% from cold to hot. So, put in however much air you want & go for a GOOD ride, get the tire nice & warm & check the pressure. On the track using stock WRX tires I'm running 18 & 20 psi, the pressure rises by 10% once they're warmed up & the tires are confident & planted feeling. 2 lb higher in each end had me sliding around on the track... 33lb would feel like riding a stone...

Someone else will have to give you an idea of how much to air down for off road, I have less experience there.

33 psi is Yamaha's recommend presure for my weight with the stock x tire. I've about 3800 miles on it and have no complaints, but I'm not a track guy.

I typically run 24-26psi

Over 30psi always sounds really high for a sporting application.

You might get better gas mileage at that pressure, but you are sacrificing contact patch.

I weigh 155 pounds.

Thanks Motokid, I think weight has a lot to do with it, especially since I weigh 230 lbs. my contact patch should be greater then yours I would think. If your running 26, I think I'll start at 29 and see what it's like. I do a lot of straight line Interstate at 70-75 and rear tire wear is an issue.
