Ha, luckily it came out unscathed. The water was obviously deeper than it looked, and had a very muddy bottom. He hit it expecting to wheelie through but his front wheel bogged down and over he went! He killed the engine with the kill switch before it went all the way under so we drained the airbox and it started right up. Here he is just prior to flipping over:

So a lot of interesting stuff has happened since my last post in this thread... in March 2016 I sold my house and all the bikes in Ohio, and moved to California.  

Bought a modded 2008 WRR (my third 2008 WR250R since 2008) in Oregon from an ADV inmate...and now I'm using it to explore the forest service roads and trails of the Lost Coast...

Dragged my wife out for a ride.  Seat Concepts seat makes this a pretty comfortable bike for long gravel days.
