| Idea to get rid from regular chain maintenance eated me since my first Hyosung XRX. Especially at spring and autumn when each second day is a rainy day. Even expensive Motul Road+ Chain lube didn't resolve this. So I started to search for a good and in-expensive chain oiler and end at "classic" Scottoler vSystem. I've spend a good hour or two to clean up my chain with big paint brush and 1 litre of kerosene. BTW 1 litre of kerosene and 1 pair of hands makes magic! Bad photos is better than many great words, so see yourself: WAS IN PROGRESS COMMUTE TRIP | |

| Nice before and after, that was accomplished without taking the chain off right? | |

| You don't need a chain breaker. You have a clip.

You kidding! Have you ever tried to open such chain clip ? It costs me too much efforts to close the clip after shortening it, so I have no illusions. Actually clip is not a big deal, but other parts was soooo tight to close...

I fumbled through my tools and came across a pair of thin, long nosed vise grips and they worked great. They are now part of my traveling tool kit.
