Can somebody tell me if the stiffness of the clutch can be adjusted..?

The thing is that in my wrr the clutch is pretty heavy, and after a wail my hand and for arm get too tired to keep the ride.

I’m riding in a very tiht circuit so I use the clutch a lot.

Tks.

ps.: not to good with English, sorry

There is no such adjustment on the OEM setup.

The best option for you would be to replace the cluctch perch with another that has increased leverage. That would make for an easier pull, and longer rides.

Try lubricating the cable, the whole length of it.
Works wonders. thumb

YzEtc, I did the job, not a great difference, but tks any way…

I’ll go for the clutch perch replacement.

I’ll see how it goes; maybe the clutch lever that MORDICAI suggest will do the job...

Thank you all very much.

Mine used to wear my arm out on long rides to the point that I almost could not use it by the end day. I had a friend ride mine to check it out because he has a WR250X. He said that mine had a weird clutch engagement feel to it. I rode his and it did feel much easier to pull. I bought a new clutch cable and it is much much better. I also found a bulge in my original cable near the top entrance to the sheath that I think was causing my problem.

Replacing the clutch cable is easy and pretty cheap.

If it does not fix the problem, then you have a spare clutch cable to carry on trips! thumb

I was going to keep the old cable but I really did not want to put it back on because of the way it felt. I threw it away. At least I have a new cable on that should last for a while. I think that it was only $13 or so also.

You might try putting a little slack in the clutch cable. When your fingers are pretty well extended you don't have as much leverage on the lever. With the adjustment backed off just a little, your hand is in more of a fist, it's easier to pull that way. Found out by accident on another machine, seemed to work for me...and it's free. I noticed quite a difference in stop and go traffic.

This must be my problem now. I dialed out some slack recently, and an all day ride yesterday had my clutch hand just about useless...

If you think the cable is not the problem, lay it on its side and remove the cluch cover and inspect the springs. True they should give less resistance as they wear but it is easy enough to do. Don't even need to drain the oil and technically you are supposed to change the gasket but I bet you won't need to.

I found mine to be soft from the factory. I have a strong grip though.
I adjusted my clutch for free play and I found it made the clutch grabby and stiff. I like the one-finger set-up on my bikes, for one finger, trigger-like operation.
I lubed the hell out of it and it was still grabby. So in the end, I had to settle for in between too soft and grabby. I've never noticed this on any other bike.
