Any lock for the front sprocket nut ?

I change my original front sprocket to 12T.
in order to remove the front sprocket nut i needed to break a piece of metal that locked the sprocket nut.
Is there any lock for the sprocket nut?

Then you did something wrong.

The stock nut from Yamaha has a lip on it that you can peen over on a flat part of the countershaft.

Do you have that part number of this or i need to change the whole nut?
Do you have a picture that shows what i needed to do ( The correct way)?

The lip, or ridge is easily seen in this picture. It's facing away from my fingers.

Here it is in place and you can easily see the flats on the countershaft where you could peen the lip over if you wanted to.

Double check this and/or wait for someone to verify, but I think the part number is: 90179-18010-00

The part number given is the correct one for the nut.

Myself, I always used a brand new nut for the very reason you are describing:
The locking feature is built in to the nut, and is meant to be used just once, or else you risk breaking the tab by trying to bend it one time too many.
The nut is a throw-away, in other words, and is supposed to be replaced once you unbend the locking tab and remove it.

Other bikes use a separate locking washer, but not this one.

Has anyone looked into sourcing a washer with a tang in the ID that could be used between the nut and sprocket to lock the nut?
