I want a lift for my bike to do general maintenance. There is one on sale here locally just wondering if this will work with the WR and if anyone here has used one like this before...

It will work. I have one almost identical I got from Crappy Tire, and it's great. I've even used it to change tires on my Veedub.

I have the Crappy Tire one but I found I had to add a piece of rubber to the top of the lift to get enough height to have both tires in the air.

I have had the same lift from Princess Auto for three years now. Works great. Has no trouble lifting my Goldwing or the KLR.

I bought one used for 50 bucks and use it for general maintenance on my bike, 4wheeler and sled. I also use it for bike storage during the winter months. You can find them on Kijiji (like here or here) Works great.

They also work awesome as a transmission jack on cars/trucks. The wide platform helps to prevent the bastard from rolling off and crushing your rib cage.

If there is any way you can swing it, pop for the Harbor Freight lift when they go on sale for $299. When you're not using it you can either leave it down and park your bike on it or leave it up and use it as a work bench. Wheels on one end make it easy to move around. Best tool I own! Pic is in the half way up height.
