is it bad to relocate the breather hose from the airbox and vent it to the back of the bike??? i was thinking of putting a one way valve to let air out but not in to the motor then run a long hose to the back of the bike.

You worried about crankcase pressure ? Rather than a one way valve, why not just a breather ?

no im not worried about pressure, i just dont want to put what little oil comes out into the intake, the one way valve is so water doesnt get sucked in when i ride in the rain.

About the one-way valve:

Doesn't the crankcase breather have pulses going both ways due to the reciprocating piston?

Was your minibike a 2-stroke?

I wouldn't mess with that, myself, as I don't see a real problem with how it is.

If anything, put a K&N-type filter on the end of the hose to allow pulses to go both in and out, and block-off the fitting at the airbox where the hose once attached.

Since I live at 5000'ASL I do everything to get fresh oxygen into the motor. I"m using a super light weight cheapo gas filter for my breather vent. Bonus is being clear, I can see when it gets too oily. Pic is before adding a Leo pipe and losing the EXUP.
