| Just installed my fmf efi programmer and when at an idle if I snap the throttle there's a good delay hiccup I messed with the red blue setting wich is the delay at wot but didn't seem to change anything. | |

| I have the fmf programmer q4 pipe and opened up airbox, I had the same issue at first.
I ended up running the programmer at 3-2-.5-8-6-4 and the CO at 5 with the idle speed raised to about 1900rpm.
You need to bump up the 5th (yellow/blue) setting, not the 6th (red/blue), snapping the throttle doesnt get to wot.
Also if the yellow mode is too rich you get a hiccup.
Hiccups are from adding too much fuel or adding it too quickly.
My bike will still hiccup if you snap the throttle before its completly warmed up but its ok onced warmed up. These bikes may be fi but they're cold blooded lol.
Bumping the idle speed up a few hundred rpms and upping the CO setting to 4 or 5 helped the most tho.

| i tried the 3-3-3-8-8-8 as posted by she wolf as a popular setting and it ran a whole lot better no hickups once it warmed up. then i tried another setting and the bike was all over the place felt like it was surging when going down the road. im totaly lost when it comes to this so im just putting in settings other people have done and having no clue as to what each setting actually does or how they work together haha. | |

| snipped from thumpertalk thread: - Quote :
- ----> Mode button = navigate modes
----> +/- buttons = settings .5-8 in .5 increments (.5,1,1.5,2,2.5,3 etc through 8) represented as a increase (higher number), decrease (lower number). ----> 6 different Modes represented by LED color as follows MODES:

4 = Green/Blue = Point at which the RPM Range When in Cruise Mode is turned on. (.5 = 1,000rpm) (8 = 2,800rpm)
5 = Yellow/Blue = Adjustment of delay in acceleration mode fuel turns on. (.5 = sooner, 8 = later)
6 = Red/Blue = Adjustment of delay in full throttle or WOT mode fuel turns on. (.5 = sooner, 8 = later)

| i think its more of me not knowing exactly how each one affects the bike to me the 3-3-3-8-8-8 setting feels like its running great but then again im a novice at this so maybe its not. but i could definetly tell the difference from the one setting i tried. | |

| I dont want to sound like a dick but... did you read the instructions, they're pretty clear on what each mode does.
A few tips for setting it up...
Everyone seams happy with the green mode on 3 unless they have a big bore kit set it there and forget about it.
The yellow mode ranges from 2-5 on different bikes mess with it to see which runs on best your bike.
Unless you have a big bore kit set the red mode to .5 the bike stills runs well with it richer but your just wasting gas not making more power, leave it on .5.
The green/blue mode gets set to 8 unless you have a big bore. set it to 8 and forget about it.
The yellow/blue mode needs to be on 6 or higher or you will get cutouts. set it on 6 and forget about it, 7-8 still works well but responds a touch slower.
The red/blue mode doesnt do anything with the red mode on .5 just leave it set on 4 like it was out of the box, or were ever its set now.
Some of the settings on this site dont make any sense, they just tried random numbers, it just shows that you can be off a bit and the bike still runs well. The 3-3-3-8-8-8 is one of those settings, everyone that dynoed a wrr agreed it doesnt need more fuel at wot, so why add a bunch. 3-3-.5-8-8-8 would run decent tho. | |

| Thanks for the response I understand what each does but didn't know if they affected one another like you stated thank you | |

If you goto that site it should give you a better understanding of what the programmer does with each number. As you can see, even with the red set at .5, the blue/red number still actually matters, as it determines when the wot setting kicks in, which in turn affects the transition from the acceleration setting. Think of the */blue settings as more of a transition point and it should help. | |
