I'm looking for something motorcycle friendly so I can service my cooling system. Thanks for any advise.

I started using Engine Ice this summer. A little pricey but I can tell a difference in the heat coming off my radiator since I installed the radiator guard.

I would use the factory recommended coolant or Maxima pre mix coolant which resembles what came in the bike from the factory.

Engine Ice is great stuff but in reality it’s just propylene glycol and water with a huge price tag. I use Sierra PG and a jug of water, mix 50/50 and have plenty left over for my other bikes.

I had enough Engine Ice left for another coolant change but only on my WRR with the one radiator. But I will look into the Sierra when I am in need of coolant again. I emailed them and asked if it is silicate free, I couldn't find that info on any of the web sites I found it on. You want silicate free for motorcycles to minimize build up in our waterpumps and engines. If it is I will definitely consider it in the future.

EDIT: They replied already. It is not silicate free but considered "low silicate" they said.

I have 10+ bike so I save where I can. For me Sierra PG works just as well. Water wetter works the best but I need to think about the low temps here in NY.

I've used Motul coolant for my last two changes.

I much prefer Evan's Cooling. It is an antifreeze that uses no water. Costs more but you NEVER need to replace it. EVER! Reduces boiling over as well, as the boiling temperature is higher without water.

Honda premixed coolant is just fine and dandy with me.
No silicates, already mixed 50/50 with distilled water, is green-colored as all coolants used to be, and the cost is reasonable.
Available at your local Honda motorcycle dealer, assuming they actually stock things like this. ;)

They were just discussing Evan's on my local dual sport forum the other day. I hear it's pricey but they all LOVED it.

Evans is good stuff. Just pricey upfront and a pain to flush the system of all water (have no experience w/ motos & Evans)

I use Redline water weter in all my toys.

I used distilled water and water wetter thinking that this was all I needed, since it never freezes where I live. Then I had boil-over problems in warmer weather that I never had with 50/50 antifreeze. Turns out I need to use antifreeze to increase the boiling temp of the water (which it does). I use Peak's top-of-the-line Global Lifetime Coolant which is ethylene glycol-based. This is low-silicate coolant. 50/50 ethylene coolant has a higher boiling point than 50/50 polyethylene coolant.
