Clutch install question Empty
PostSubject: Clutch install question   Clutch install question EmptyFri Oct 19, 2012 7:25 pm

So I just replaced my clutch, (burnt the old one, my fault) I think I did everything by the numbers. When I pull the clutch lever it doesn't begin to engage until its about 1/2 pulled, and when the lever's all the way pulled it feels like its not completely disengaging the engine. With the clutch pulled and in gear I can feel significantly more resistance when I'm pushing the bike around the garage vs in neutral. Is this normal? I haven't even started the bike since the install because I just want an opinion on if I messed something up on the install before I try driving it.

Thanks
Eric

Apparently I had the clutch springs torqued too tight. I thought I had them correct but after loosening and torquing them again it works fine. Learning has occurred! thumb
