PostSubject: Tube Sizing Question   Wed Jan 30, 2013 11:01 pm

I'm somewhat new to the forum. I purchased a 2008 WR250X and bought the Warp9 X to R conversion. I'm now looking to get tires and tubes for the rims.

After spending some time reading on this forum, I decided to go with the D606 rear and the MT21 front. Below are my specs for the tires and rims. Can someone give me some leads to some tubes for this? (Type and size)? Sorry if this is a dumb question, I haven't had to spec tubes in a while.

Warp 9 Rims:
Rear Rim: 18"X2.15"
Front Rim: 21"X1.60"

Tires:
90/90x21 Pirelli MT21 Dual Sport Rallycross
120/90x18 Dunlop D606 Dual Sport

Thanks for any help!

Get the same size tubes as tires or as close as you can.

I just put the exact same setup on mine 2 weeks ago. The d606 rear is awsome. I had a real hard time finding tubes also. Ended up putting the stock tubes back in. 10mm is not a whole lot of diff. I did install rimlocks though.

275/300-21 for the front
350/400-18 for the rear

try to go with the tube 1 size smaller than your tyre. will fill the tyre fine, but reduces the chance of folding pinch flats that can happen when the tube is too big.

Thanks for the replies. I decided to go with the following tubes:

110-120/100x18
80/100x21

I'm thinking these will work just fine. I'll post up some photos here once I get them on.

I do not plan to use rim locks.

Can you explain those sizes for me? Surely that's not the same as width(mm)/profile (% width) - diameter... Never seen a 350mm wide R tire :)

Some times they forget a decimal point. A 350/400-18 is for a 3.5/4.0 inch wide rim range, 18" diameter.

But I would love to see a 350mm wide tire on a WR! poser2
