Haters are gonna hate. You didn't buy the bike for them. For me this bike was THE bike I wanted. It's an amazing go anywhere do anything machine. I think they're just jealous, a guy I work with hated on me for buying a 250, he rode mine and next thing you know he was trying to find someone to trade his xr650 for a wrr. Get out there and ride.

| I get that sometimes as well. Then again, I am 55, soon to be 56. I say "Faark em", bought the bike for me, not them. I don't give a hoot what others think. | |

| They're probably too out of shape to even think about that kind of stuff. | |

| fuck them , theres loads of over 40s with this bike , here in the uk we ride allsorts at all ages , there are lots of sports bike owners over here in there 60s and 70s . we have poole bike night every Tuesday with over 1000 bikes attending sometimes and I rode my wr there and had more positive comments and admiring nods than a lot of sports bikes and customs.

| I will be 50 years old this coming Tuesday.
Laugh at your ignorant co-workers - they're either jealous morons, or just plain morons.

I know, right. I can barely remember what I was doing when I was that young. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Holy smokes. I'm 56 and just bought my new 2012 WRR Tue the 21st. I was about 40 when I last really romped on a dirt bike. It was an old used CR250, air cooled, dual shock thing. But it's ok. I ain't skeered. | |

| I'm 40 in September and just bought a 2012 WR250R. I used to have the 2009 WR250X but sold that a while back to buy my R6.
The guys are right. Your work mates are just jealous. I know mine are.. lol..
I used to have an 80s XR250 for offroad but sold it because it was unregistered and I didn't have a bike trailer.
That was over 5 years ago now so I took the plunge to get back out in the dirt with the WR and not looking back.

| As I mentioned in my "newbie" post I'm 57 and just ordered up a WRR. I don't see anything wrong with it at all. I rode, raced, competed and worked in the industry for 25 years, took a break and now ready to start again. Now, I probably won't be out racing and doing crazy things but I am looking forward to trail riding and exploring local dirt roads and such. Very excited as a matter of fact. | |

| Actually I thought it was the perfect old guys bike. Light enough to pick up; not too much power so I don't get in trouble. Got 20,000 miles on it and starting to wish for a wr450. I'll be 74 next birthday. | |
