2013 or 2012

I am wondering if the dealership pulled the wool over my eyes and said that this new bike is a 2013 (when it really is a 2012). Reason being is that the mfg date on the thing states something like 12/12.....They wouldnt slap a white tail on a bike they couldnt sell right?> any way to use my vin number to tell if it is a 2013?

I'm pretty sure that any vehicle built after June is considered the next years model....

Production date of 12/12 is definitely a 2013 model.

If the bike is a USA model, the 10th digit of the VIN tells the model year:

C = 2012
D = 2013

Mine 's a 2008 built in 2007. There is no 2007 model.
