2008 - 2013 Aesthetic Changes

I'm wondering if anyone know's if the plastics were changed in anyway through the years the bikes been out. I'm talking even small things, like the hue of the blue or the build quality. I ask bc when I look at pictures the older years blue plastic looks different to me than what I see in the newer years pictures. I could be crazy but it just looks different to me. Does anyone know what was changed? Was it just the decals and I'm crazy? Bc I think the older years plastic looks more cheap.

although I have noticed that older bikes (not sure from what year to what year) seem to have a smooth surface seat. mine (2010) has a seat with a rough grippy texture. looks less plasticy imo. although I might be going crazy as well  

Okay so I'm crazy! Cats out of the bag. It's probably just from seeing the marketing pics over the years.
