About to start scouring the planet for a suitable donor rear shock with more potential and after market support than the stock WRR/X shock.
Wondering if anyone out there with a shock just sitting there could supply some accurate measurements?

Top mount or bushing width and diameter of bolt -
Overall length eye to eye -
Lower mount or bushing width and diameter of bolt -

I'm willing to take the risk and possible a little machine shop work (if minor) to make a a good rear shock work.

Thanks,
ACDS

Have you thought about sending yours in to a suspension specialist to have it reworked? One of the first things that I did. Made a world of difference for about $80 US.

Sent mine to:

David Behrend
www.FastBikeIndustries.com
(828)243-7240 - mobile
(828)435-0125 - shop

He's in North Carolina, near Asheville. Had a WR250X of his own when he did my shock. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

The WRR/X has a very different leverage ratio than most mx/offroad bikes.

If you do find one that will bolt on you will have to respring it with a 8-9 kg/mm spring (most mxers are 5-6kg/mm), revalve it to go with the much stiffer spring, shorten it and reduce the travel to what the stocker has.

My point is instead of doing all this work to some other shock, you could rebuild/revalve the stocker with a better seal head and a gold valve kit or get it done by gorace and have the same thing.

Theres plenty of aftermarket support for the stock shock, send it to gorace or buy the parts from racetech, they both have everything you could ever need to fix or mod the stock shock.

If the lack of schrader valve bugs you, you can tap the bladder cap for one quite easily.
