Edit: Are you asking what else you should do or check with a bike that's got 8500 miles on it? First and foremost I'd check the chain slider on bottom side of swingarm. I'd check front brake pads. _________________ 2008 WR250X Gearing: 13t - 48t Power Commander 5 / PC-V Airbox Door Removed - Flapper glued - AIS removed FmF Q4 Bridgestone Battlax BT-003rs

| Do you have the service manual on hand ? - as this will give you the proper factory service schedule, which is obviously a very good starting point to further guide you.
Also i agree with the mention of the disc pads & chain slider for close inspection.
Proberly worth checking the battery terminal connections - clean, tighten & spray with suitable protectant.
Also pull the rubber boot back from the main wire connector at the starter motor. I found that this boot holds water inside, which causes bad corrosion at the metal connector terminal. The water will run straight down the wire & into the rubber boot. I got to mine in time to clean it up, spray it with protector coating etc. I also then siliconed up the water entry point where the wire goes inside the rubber boot. Should be all good now.
So you mention "i've done oil", does this also include the oil filter ?
In reality at that mileage you're properly good to go with what you've already done - so just pump the tyres, "flick a screw driver over the spokes" and ride on mate, lol.
Cheers. | |

| If you've done significant submarining I'd look at the rear linkages and consider cleaning and lubing. | |

That's good advice, mate. I'll make sure I attend to mine. | |
