We have a 2008 WR250R in our fleet and I'm having a heck of a time replacing the Left, clutch side, mirror mount. the one I ordered is a standard thread and the one that came off is a reverse thread.
Could someone verify my sanity and let me know if the Left side, clutch, is a reverse thread and the Right side is of a standard thread.
Thanks,
Dan

My 2012 is just the opposite. The right hand mirror is left hand thread and the left hand mirror is right hand thread.

2011... Right is lefthand thread, left is right hand thread. This is so if they get whacked they will come loose and not break.

The mirror on the left side(clutch side) is a reverse thread. The Mount(mirror screws into), is standard thread.

I just replaced the mirrors on my '08 with folding mirrors for off-road; the clutch side was "regular" thread and the brake side was reversed. Yamaha's have done this for a long time, I never understood why haha.

Thanks for posting up guys. How in the world did I get one opposite of all the rest. I bought the bike used, hardly any miles, but someone would of have to done some reverse thread machining to arrive at what we got.
Think I'll cut off the reverse thread mirror and rethread with standard threads to fit new mount.
Thanks,
Dan

I just removed the adapter. Threads just fine now.

Mine got crossed up after a botched shortening job. I only have one mirror now because someone couldn't gauge a thread correctly.
