Peace YAM Live in Jersey been ridding since i was 9 !! Last few years mostly sporttouring but the dirt tracks keep calling . Currently in the process of acquiring a wr250r as my daily commute and for weekend fun on trails ! Eventually do the trans NJ trail , trans american trail and Alaska !! Those are my biggest goal in the next few yrs . after much debating and research I decided on the wr250 due to great reviews from different sources !! This will be a dual duty bike so my budget is 10k for bike and all necessary upgrades which include extra set of super moto wheels for daily commute !!

The feedback I get from a fellow rider who has two sets of wheels is it's not worth the effort to swap wheels from dirt on the weekends to commute on week days. He just rides his street bike. I find my WR does just fine on the street with dual sport tires on the 21/18 wheels. I'd at least suggest trying commuting on your dual sport wheels before buying street wheels.

It may be a little soon if you are just starting out on dirt but the pb500 is coming up in a month.
